I'm going a little out of order here . . . there's been lots of things going on in the Jorgensen family this last week.  I have pictures from the 10-12 but haven't edited them yet.  Today's I couldn't wait to post though.  My 4-year old has caught Tebow fever.  Now tell me where we went wrong as parents.  :)

So I didn't take a photo on Saturday.  But I was going through some old pictures and came across this one.  I think this was taken in 1998.  My sisters and I went to Canada with my dad over the summer for some fishing and met these awesome girls from Idaho.  Or maybe it was Indiana . . . yeah, I think it was Indiana.  We decided to do makeovers on each other and here's what we ended up looking like!

This one below is Katie cheesing for the camera right before bed.  Toby got me an Instax instant camera for Christmas and I've been having so much fun with it.  I love the effect that you can only truly get with an instant camera.  And Katie loves taking pictures with my "magic camera" and then watching them develop!

Jan 5 + 6

Yesterday's photo was taken during my weekly photowalk with some fellow photographers from work.  Every Thursday over lunch we get together and spend an hour shooting whatever interests us.  It's a lot of fun.  And yesterday it was 62 degrees and we were able to walk around outside without coats . . . unbelievable.  

Today was another nice day so Katie and I decided to spend the morning down at my dad's timber in southern Iowa.  We walked through the woods and found 2 old deer sheds, a turkey feather, and a deer skeleton.  We rode 4-wheelers for a little while and then watched some old fishing videos.  It was awesome.  Below is Katie showing off her turkey feather.

Today when I got home, Toby told Katie to spell her name for me.  And she did!!  Today's picture is her accomplishment.  So proud.

Today's project: Minolta X-9 manual focus SLR from the 90's.

So I have to admit, I didn't try too hard on today's photo.  I had brought out my two old film SLRs to use a decoration in my house since they aren't getting any use and are collecting dust in a drawer and decided to take a couple pics.  

This camera is one of the last models Minolta made before going to an automatic focusing system.  One of my husband's friends gave it to me along with a bunch of lenses.  Unfortunately it doesn't function and the lenses are scratched and unusable.  But I love the style and shape . . . much different than the DSLRs of today.  

Now . . . to think of what I'm going to for tomorrow's pic . . .

So I'm starting the new year off right . . . I'm doing a 366 day challenge.  Already I'm late in getting the pics posted.  :)  This first one is from Sunday, January 1st.  My little nephew Ethan (who is 4 months old today!) decided to pose for some photos for me.

This one below is from Monday January 2nd.  Katie was making Ethan mad because she was rubbing her head against his.  It was pretty adorable until he started screaming.
